TOP SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURS IN INDIA
Constructing the definition of social entrepreneurs, these

One such eminent example is Ms. Raashi Aanand, the founder
of one of the renowned and established Non-profit Organisation- LAKSHYAM. The
NGO with a focus on the education of children caters to their holistic
development and women empowerment. The team shares a common dream of making the
world a home where every child is showered with love and has opportunities for
acquiring skill-set and personality development, whilst not scarring their
innocence by the dread of child labour. Empowering women and helping them
sustain their family along with the educating them about the world around them
is the basic goal of Lakshaym
Portraying a heart rendering image of how one’s aim can
bring about an immense change in the society, she has been awarded the “SocialEntrepreneur in India” by Entrepreneur India Summit 2013, and has multiplied
her success ever since. Being named the “Iconic Women creating a better world for
All” by the World Economic Forum early this year, her main work in the past 10
years has been giving equal opportunities to all.
With a young determined mindset and a gracious spirit, Ms.
Aanand founded her own NGO- Lakshyam in 2012- to put an end to the various
violations of human rights, especially of women and street children in India.
She received the
“Youngest Social Worker” award from Navratan Foundation in 2013 and has
continued since to accomplish many others lie Young Social Entrepreneur, Women
Entrepreneur in India, Young Changemaker in Delhi and by organisations such as
Delhi Management Association, World CSR Congress etc.
Her success story comes from her Dynamic ideas like making
the Documentary movie “Lal Seeb” which has been screened on PVR on various
events like “Fashion For A Cause” which involves very well-known celebrities
like Salman Khan, Anupam Kher, Boman Irani, Priyanka Chopra who has supported
Lakshyam for many years. She has been chosen by Kalinga Fellowship in 2017 to
work towards safeguarding girls in Odisha. She also got selected for the AND
fashion and lifestyle campaign with Kareena Kapoor Khan.
As an inspirational young woman she has been invited as a
Guest of Honor and Keynote Speaker at various prestigious universities.
It is due to her great social initiatives and activities
towards the betterment of the society the that lives of many people have been
affected and change for their betterment. Spread across 19 centres in India and
impacting 20 states, Lakshyam has touched over 30,000 lives and fulfilled the
dreams of these people.
